In this chapter we discuss a unique and enchanting territory, one of the most interesting naturalistic environments, the Walk to Lake Fimon.
Lake Fimon is one of the most interesting naturalistic environments in the Berici Hills and in the province of Vicenza. In addition to the great landscape value, it is the witness of a lake area that occupied a large part of the adjacent valleys, in fact thanks to its habitat, we find an important presence of flora and fauna typical of wetlands.
A truly unique natural territory that continues to amaze us, with archaeological finds dating back to the Neolithic, the Copper Age and the Bronze Age. The lake is a modest body of water of about 6 square kilometers and has an average depth of 2 meters, nestled between the green hills of the Berici Hills in the municipality of Arcugnano.
The place is truly fascinating and worth a visit at any time of the year, even in the least inviting season, winter. The walk is suitable for anyone, the route is quite popular with people walking, families with children, thanks also to the well-kept road surface.
A very evident path without any particular indication, therefore also suitable for wheelchair users. Pay attention to the ice that forms during the winter. We recommend a calm pace, to enjoy the wonderful landscape that will surround you.
