Lendinara is an artistic, cultural and religious center, to the extent that in the eighteenth century the city was honored with the appellative of "Athens of Polesine" for the treasures it contains.

Ca 'Dolfin-Marchiori Palace is a building of the sixteenth century with a large loggia and cylindrical chimneys and is equipped, in the back, with a large park in a Romantic style probably attributed to Vincenzo Scamozzi, a pupil of Palladio.
Pretorio Palace consists of the 25 meter Maistra Tower and a lower building with merlons which dates back to the end of the fourteenth century. It is one of the oldest buildings of Polesine. Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pilastrello is a place of ancient devotion and linked to prodigious events. Built between 1557 and 1581, it welcomes in the "Cappella del Bagno" the numerous requests for grace from pilgrims who trust in its water source considered miraculous.
The Santa Sofia Cathedral (18th century) consists of three naves that converge towards the apse, enriched by numerous paintings. The façade and the bell tower next to it, one of the highest in Italy with its 93 meters, were designed by the architect Francesco Antonio Baccari from Lendinara and built between 1797 and 1857.
The Comunale Palace built in the XIV century, has a fourteenth-century loggia on the lower floor, where today we find a historic café. On the upper floor, instead, we find between the four rectangular windows a niche with the statue of the Madonna with the Child.
The Clock Tower completes the structure of the Este, which in ancient times served as an entrance into the castle-city, even if it was transformed into a bell tower and enhanced with a large clock in the seventeenth century.
