The Lumera lake is a small and pretty stretch of water located on the Seven Municipalities plateau, a few steps from the historic center of Asiago. A place very popular at any time of the year, by tourists from all over the world, thanks to its incredible territory full of typical food and wine products and the numerous sports activities that can be practiced on this sunny plateau. "Asiago: the smallest but the brightest city in Italy" with this phrase Gabriele D’Annunzio described the increasingly important municipality of the whole plateau of which, even today, it is the flag carrier.

The Lumera lake was created in the 1930s during the town's reconstruction works, together with the construction of the Remembrance park and the Brigata Regina park, an ambitious project that aimed to revive Asiago as a tourist resort. In those days, the city's first hockey team trained and played games right on this frozen pond.

It is located about 1.5 km from the town, and can be easily reached through a simple walk that starts from Piazza Giovanni Carli, continues along via Brigata Sassari and via G. Oberdan along the paved road, up to the crossroads on the left in via Lumera this, a dirt road lined with old marble slabs used by the Cimbri to fence and separate the land.

In a few minutes you arrive at the charming lake, protected by tall pine trees and all surrounded by numerous wooden and marble benches, a fun playground for children and a bar where you can refresh yourself. An ideal place to have a picnic or to spend time with your family. For the more trained, the route continues through the green meadows of the plateau to the San Domenico district, or to the Forte Interrotto massif.
