The Fonda Savio Rifugio excursion is definitely worth trying, in fact it is not a very complicated tour and offers unforgettable views. This spectacular refuge is nestled in the Cadini di Misurina Group, located above the suggestive lake of Misurina, in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore.
From up there, the view is breathtaking, the imposing Wundt Tower rises a few steps away, and a little further on you can admire the Tre Cime di Lavaredo from an unusual perspective.
The route starts just before Lake Antorno at 1,866 meters, where we can safely leave the car in the vicinity of a traffic ban. The trail starts here, through the forest road No. 115 among the thick branches of the trees.
A little further on, the climb becomes tougher, with more important slopes, but thanks to the beautiful landscape the fatigue is no longer felt. You begin to glimpse the Fonda Savio Refuge, nestled between the spiers and towers, in a spectacular and lunar place not to be missed.
The excursion is suitable for anyone, the route is always very popular with people walking and also by families with children. Pay attention to the ice that forms during the coldest periods. We recommend a calm pace, to enjoy the wonderful landscape that will surround you.
