Not far away we can admire Lake Misurina, located at 1754 meters and lies in one of the most beautiful areas of the Alps, surrounded by green woods and high-level tourist facilities. Continuing along the road you arrive at the spectacular city of Auronzo di Cadore, which includes the entire area around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most tourist areas of all the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site.
Do not miss the city of Pieve di Cadore, one of the most remarkable historical and artistic centers of Cadore, located forty kilometers north-east of Belluno, on the slopes of Mount Antelao called the "King of the Dolomites" which with its 3264 meters high. It is the birthplace of Tiziano Vecellio, glory of Venice and symbol of the Renaissance.
Finally Longarone, sadly known for having been completely destroyed on October 9, 1963 at 22:39, when a landslide detached from Monte Toc and falling into the artificial basin created by the Vajont dam, caused a gigantic wave that overtook the dam overwhelming the countries below.
