The small village of Combai is perched on a completely hilly area at the foot of the Belluno Prealps and is a fraction of the municipality of Miane.

A place that knows how to preserve unexpected and pleasant surprises, along its streets and behind every curve, or through some historic village, on the top of some hill embroidered with precious vineyards.

Combai is immersed in chestnut woods, not native plants but introduced in the Middle Ages for food purposes, which found an adequate microclimate to grow and develop, so over time, they replaced the original local oaks, so much so that today the Combai brown, it has become an excellence not to be missed and recognized with the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) brand.

Also typical of these lands is Verdiso, an autochthonous vineyard in the Treviso foothills, a documentary presence for over two centuries, in fact its processing had been imposed at the time, to the settlers of the Abbey of Follina, already in 1788.

A plant particularly suitable for cultivation in various types of soil, returning a good production whether it is in flat or hilly terrain. The production area is mainly in these lands, of ancient traditions, along the wine roads between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano.

Verdiso is straw-yellow in color, with greenish reflections, has a faint and spicy smell and a dry and sour taste, so as to remember the unripe apple. For these characteristics it enters the composition of Prosecco DOC (Denomination of Controlled Origin) and in the creation of sparkling wines and raisin wines.

Do not miss the typical local festivals, with displays of artisan products, nature walks, cultural events and excellent quality food and wine products. Among the many we recommend the Festa dei Marroni which is held in October and the Primavera del Prosecco which is held around May.
